MANILA, Philippines — Cargill Joy Poultry Meats Production Inc. (C-Joy), a joint venture between Cargill and Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC) has opened the country’s largest poultry processing plant that would boost income opportunities of farmers from Batangas.
“This new plant harnesses technology and global experience to deliver tasty chicken products in an environment which is safe for our employees and is environmentally sustainable,” C-Joy president and CEO Paul Fullbright said.
The local government unit of Batangas also welcomed the investment that would contribute to the strengthening of the development of the local economy in the area.
“We hope that this plant will eventually provide and augment work and business opportunities to poultry growers and allied services,” said Sto. Tomas Mayor Edna Sanchez.
