Megaworld, Landers ink deal for two superstores

MANILA – Megaworld Corp. said Wednesday it signed a deal with membership grocery retailer Landers Superstore to open two stores in its township projects.

The membership-only stores will open in Megaworld’s developments in the cities of Pasig and Las Piñas, the company said.

Landers, owned by Southeastasia Retail Inc., sells imported and local products in two stores in Quezon City and Manila.

“We are happy to welcome Landers Superstore to our townships. With Landers Superstore, we are bringing world-class one-stop shopping and convenience closer to our township residents, workers and customers,” said Kevin Tan, senior vice president and head of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls.

Megaworld shares were up 2.82 percent to P3.65 on Wednesday.
