Metro Manila is getting more crowded than ever. People hailing from different provinces all want a taste of the opportunities the cities have to offer. And indeed, there are a lot – work, entertainment, food establishments, and an entirely different lifestyle.

If you’re from the province and is considering to purchase a property here in the Metro as you move, here is a comparison of the cheapest and the most expensive cities to buy a house.

  1. Makati

Always topping the list, Makati is still the number one city when it comes to expensive houses. And we see no reason to doubt its status. Six of Philippines’ most exclusive subdivisions and gated communities are located here, where politicians and business tycoons lived. Also, Makati has one of the major central business districts in the Metro. Aside from that, the place is a boom of establishments from malls to restaurants to drinking hubs. Investing on a property at Makati will definitely get the best of your bank account, but it’s worth it if you want easy access to activity centers and the like. Median house price is at Php130 million.

  1. Taguig

Just a bus ride from Makati, Taguig is quite a city trying to make its way up. With two upscale communities Bonifacio Global City and McKinley Hill, Taguig ranks second to Makati when it comes to expensive houses. With quite the fancy establishments and hubs brimming in the area, Taguig’s median house price is at Php34 million.

  1. Muntinlupa

Head south and you’ll see one of the earliest central business districts in the Metro – Alabang, located in the City of Muntinlupa. It is also in Muntinlupa that the famous Ayala Alabang Village, an exclusive subdivision. But other than that, you will see a lot of other options in this city like in Poblacion and Bayanan. Median house price is at Php31.75 million.

  1. Mandaluyong

Home to the elite Wack Wack Village, Mandaluyong lands a spot in the list of the cities with the priciest houses. Media house price at Mandaluyong is at Php29 million. But it’s a good investment as Mandaluyong is quite accessible from here and there.

  1. San Juan

Despite its size, San Juan houses quite a lot of fancy houses, the highest listing being a whopping Php355 million. But, median house price is at Php13.5 million.

  1. Paranaque

A city that is swarmed with subdivisions and villages, Paranaque’s most expensive house listing is priced at Php160 million. Median house price is at Php9.2 million.

  1. Quezon City

Being the largest city in the Metro Manila, Quezon City’s house listings amounted to at least 2,585. Median house price is at Php8 million.
