MANILA – Metro Pacific Investments Corp chairman Manuel Pangilinan said Monday he was looking to invest in toll roads in Indonesia and Malaysia.

Pangilinan said he was optimistic tollways deals in the 2 countries could be closed by next year, as MPIC expands in Southeast Asia. Besides the Philippines, MPIC also operates tollways in Thailand and Vietnam.

“There’s an initial investment. In the future, we can make more investments,” Pangilinan said.

PLDT Inc, which is due to report third quarter earnings, is “picking up a bit more momentum,” Pangilinan said. — with a report from Michelle Ong, ABS-CBN News
